What part of the water system is my responsibility, and what part belongs to NCWP?

In general, NCWP owns and maintains the water mains and the portion of your water service between the water main and your individual shutoff (curb stop).  If there’s a problem with a water main or with your service between the water main and the curb stop, NCWP will address the issue at no cost to the property owner.

If there is an issue with your water service between the curb stop and your property, the responsibility for repair lies with the property owner.  Please note if a leak is discovered between the curb stop and the entry into the structure on the property, NCWP reserves the right to shut water service off to that property until the owner has the leak repaired.
