Water Department

The North Conway Water Precinct prides itself on delivering a reliable supply of clean, safe, great tasting drinking water. Our water is born as rainfall and snowmelt upon the mountain slopes of the Mount Washington Valley and is drawn from the glacial sand and gravel deposits deep within the Saco River aquifer. Two well fields, one of which is one of the highest producing gravel-packed wells in New Hampshire pump water from the aquifer through our modern network of water distribution mains to two 2-million-gallon storage tanks. NCWP annually pumps between 250 - 325 million gallons of water, with peak demand days regularly exceeding 1.5 million gallons per day during the summer months.

We take pride in the quality of our water system and believe in working proactively to maintain water quality and distribution system integrity. Our professional, highly-trained staff works daily to ensure the highest possible level of service for our customers.
