National EPA Award Winner

Assistant Administrator Benjamin H. Grumbles has announced that the North Conway Wastewater Treatment Facility has been selected as a first place winner of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s 2005 National Clean Water Act Recognition Award. This selection is based on demonstrated creative and outstanding Operations and Maintenance (O& M) practices in the large non-discharging plant category.

Mr. LaBonte and his staff of two (Bob Bagley, Lab Operator and Mickey McDonald, Maintenance) are to be commended for the outstanding job they do in operations of the North Conway Wastewater Treatment Facility.

On behalf of the North Conway Water Precinct, Peter LaBonte Chief Operator of the plant will travel to Washington, D.C. on October 30, 2005 to receive the award..
